Sangmyung University Selected as an Excellent University for two Years in a Row by PRIME Evaluation

Sangmyung University (Cheonan Campus) PRIME Business Group has been selected as an excellent university for the last two years in a row.The PRIME project* consists of three years (2016-2018) of support and five years (2019-2023) of performance management, and Sangmyung University (Cheonan Campus) is conducting a national enterprise, a type of "creation-based leading university.”
Sangmyung University (Cheonan Campus) PRIME Business Group had innovational restructuring of its undergraduate structure and educational curriculum, including transforming the existing five departments in the Engineering College into seven departments** related to smart industry. By developing SM@RT Multi-Package*** - the engineering education model unique to Sangmyung University - and introducing ‘Industrial-link graduation certification system’, they had implemented customized education for industrial demand. In addition, non-curriculum activities and designing experiences (‘Micro-tutoring’, ‘Top-engineers’) help students keep their careers on a rotational basis.
Prospects looks good for PRIME departments since they are currently achieving high employment rates through a systematic education system.
* The PRIME (Program for Industrial needs Matched Education) Project: a national support project to decrease the fixed number in the departments of humanities, arts, physical education and increase the regular number in the departments of science and engineering
